The design is inspired by jackets once worn by American workers near the sea to protect against the cold.

It features a loose, coverall-like silhouette.

The original-style snap buttons are engraved with an "A".

The material is an original beach cloth fabric recreated through extensive trial and error by the designer and Teramoto.

Beach cloth is a wool-cotton blend that has long been used in the United States,and was used for cold-weather clothing before the advent of innovative materials such as padding and down.

The inside of the body features a "BEACH CLOTH" material label.
